Child Workers in the Sugar Industry in the Philippines

Would you like to help end child labour in the Philippines sugar cane fields ?

One of the charities we support is helping to tackle this human rights issue by providing education for the children of the adult sugar cane workers and advocacy for change in the industry; engaging the sugar growers in dialogue to explore ways to bring child labour to an end.

The adult sugar cane workers are often paid only a fraction of the legal minimum wage and have to enlist the help of their children in the fields to help make ends meet.
